What is your passion and why is it a passion of yours?

My passion is to help animals that are in need of help. I like hanging around animals and taking care of them.

Can you make your passion a profession?

Yes i can make my passion into a profession because a veterinarian is a medical career job that involves helping and taking care of a wide variety of animals.

What type of education is required?

To become a veterinarian you have to complete a 4 year doctor of medicine program, including undergraduate school. Veterinarians when taking their bachelor's degrees in science-related areas, like zoology, molecular biology, chemistry, animal science and biochemistry. When getting a license all states require you to pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE), before receiving the license.

What skills, talents, and attitudes are required?

The type of skills needed to become a veterinarian is a medical skill and also a skill with handling animals well. I’m not sure that talent is need to be apart of this profession. The attitude required for this profession is a bright and friendly attitude.

Reflection: what i'm willing to do to make my passion my profession is go to school and get a medical degree so i can become a certified veterinarian. I will work as hard i have to in order to achieve my goal.

What statement means to me is that the best thing we can do for our country is to take care of ourselves because we are the future of this country so we should educate ourselves. Personally i agree with this statement because we are the next generation and we should be able to lead our country to victory but we won't be able to do that if we are not educating ourselves on what is right form wrong. When we grow older we will depend on the children to take our country even further into the future. With out us and them we won't progress as a nation. This is also not only about how fit or smart you are, this is also about how kind and caring you are. Without being kind and helping each other out we won't progress. That is why in the quote it says that above all we should educate our character.

Medical Assistant

Duties and responsibilities:

Medical assistant working mostly in physician's offices and healthcare clinics, medical assistants perform a variety of routine tasks, supporting doctors and nurses in keeping the practice's operations running efficiently and on schedule. They also file medical records and documents, setting up appointments and arranging hospital procedures. Some medical assistants even specialize in a particular type of medicine, such as ophthalmology or podiatry.

Salary: The median salary for someone who is a medical assistant gets about 30,590 dollars.

Education:

To become a medical assistant you will have to graduate from a 2-year associate degree program in medical assistance. Then you will have to take the AAMA certification exam. The certification must be renewed every 5 years. students wishing to enter the workforce more quickly may pursue a 1-year medical assistance program through a vocational school to receive a diploma or certificate. At that point they will be able to qualify for most entry level medical assistant jobs.

Demand for this profession: The projected job growth for Medical assistants is 23% between 2014-2024.

Reflection:

In my opinion i don't want to become a medical assistant because i'm not really the type of person who wants to stay in an office all day doing paperwork and filing documents. This is a medical career but it is something that i'm not really interested in at the time.

What this statement means to me is that you are in control of your body, mind, and spirit. So it depends on you whether you want to be healthy or sick. Although we might not have control of the situations that happen to us, we are still able to control our actions. To balance your body, mind, and spirit you have to make sure that you aren't putting your self down. Relaxing and doing what makes you happy will help make your mind and spirit well. For your body, eating healthy and exercising can keep your physical body healthy. Joining a sport that you love can balance out your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being because your are exercising, doing what you love and relieving stress. Thinking negative can effect your mental well being and being a couch potato can hurt you physical well being. The worst of all is losing hope and that hurts your spiritual well-being. It all depends on your prespective of the world and how you are going to handle it.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

A licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing basic care to patients. . They maintain and monitor patient health, perform wound care, update patient records, take vital signs and assist patients with personal hygiene. They also help patients with multitude of health care settings.

Education:

To become a Licensed Practical Nurse you have to first complete the state approved training program. These programs usually last about a year and result in getting a diploma. In the program you will have to learn basic nursing,Medical terminology, infection control, lifespan healthcare, and Pharmacology. Then you must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses. The exam requires a 200 dollar fee. After you are done with the exam you will receive the LPN licensure and are eligible to practice in the profession.

Salary: The median Salary for a Licensed Practical Nurse is about 43,170 dollars.

Demand for this Profession:

The projected job growth for this profession is about 16% between 2014-2024.

Reflection: In my opinion i would like to be in this profession because not only is it in a medical field but also because i want to help people and the world. I can do that by becoming a Doctor or even A Licensed Practical Nurse. It is a very interesting profession that im might look into further on my own. I’ve always wanted to help others as an act of kindness.

What this statement means to me is that Enven though you are probably very intelligent but have little character that is still not enough to help you achieve true education. The same thing goes for when you have lots of character but little intelligence. In order to achieve true education you must have and equal amount of higher intelligence and character. These are two very important topics someone can achieve if they jus try. If you have little character then you can build on that character. You can change your self into the person you want to be. If you have high character but low intelligence then you can try and learn more about math and english by reading or studying. Going to school is something that helps people build on their character and intelligence at the same time.  You can always work hard to become the person you want to become but you have to put in some effort. You cant just become a better person by just telling yourself that your a kind person you have to prove it and show it. The same thing applies to wanting to become more intelligent.

Kinesiologist

Duties and responsibilities:

A kinesiologist helps patients cope with physical injuries and as well as manage, rehabilitate, and prevent disorders. They also demonstrate proper muscle movement to ward off further sprains and injuries.  A skilled kinesiologist can reduce the physical crick that a patient undergoes in his/ her postoperative days. Exercise kinesiologist study the effect of exercise on the human body functions.Biomechanics kinesiologists deal with patients suffering from physical disabilities that impair normal body movement.Psychomotor kinesiologists work to improve motor learning skills in patients suffering from neurological problems.

Salary: The median salary for a Kinesiologist is annually 56,980 dollars.

Education:

The education you need to become a Kinesiologist is to have a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Even though postsecondary education subjects like anatomy, physiology, biomedical engineering, biomechanics, statistics, and psychology is not mandatory, it can be very useful.

Demand for this profession:

The projected growth for this profession is about 34% from 2014-2024.

Reflection: In my personal opinion I wouldn't want to become a Kinesiologist because physical fitness isn't really something that i want to be doing for a living. Even though it is a medical career it is something that i am not interested in.
