Optometrist Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Some things that an Optometrist Technician has to do is fitting a patients for eyewear. They also have to conduct non-invasive eye exams and keeping records. Finally they sometimes follow a doctor's prescription and interact with patients on a daily basis. On the other hand they also teach patients how to use and care for their new eyeglasses or contacts.
Education: To become an optometrist Technician you first have to try and go through apprenticeship programs. Although some patrons hire employees with formal education. As for school you can take a community or a 4 year college to get a certificate. Some courses that you might need to take in school are physiology, anatomy, algebra and computer science are all helpful in finding employment in this field. License is required in 22 states and you must pass the state-administered practical and written examinations or a certification exam administered by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners.

Reflection: In my opinion I think that I wouldn't want to become a Optometrist technician because it seems like a boring job and im not really good with working with eyes and eyewear. I don’t really want a job where I sit in an office almost all day. Even though it does help the people in our community, it's just not the career meant for me
