What this quote means to me is that you can achieve a goal without setting it first. you have to create a goal first before you try to accomplish it. Set and get, that what those words mean you have set your goals then you accomplish them. you can set any types of goals you like whether it's you want a good grade in English class or you want to pass the essay you made for Block 5. It all depends but once you set your goal you can do all you want to try and complete it. Make your goal a victory or defeat, its all your choice. No one controls your life but you, you make your own decisions and choices. No one else should be telling you what you should or shouldn't do. just remember that when someone want you to do something you dont want too. Completing your goals are also very important you can't just set your goals and not achieve it. that is just being lazy and lazy won't help you in school or what ever you want to complete.

Columbus Day
What is Columbus Day: Columbus Day is the day we celebrate when an explorer named Christopher Columbus traveled from the spanish ports of palos to what is now known as the United States Of America with his 3 ships named the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.

Christopher Columbus set out to sea to find what is known as a New World, so the people of his country could move to the newly founded land , but was it newly found land never seen before by anyone? The answer to this Question is no, this land was founded by someone else before Christopher Columbus. These people were called the Native Americans, They followed their own religion and lived in peace before Christopher Columbus and the people of his country came. Christopher Columbus and his people killed lots of Native americans to fight for the land. The Natives didn’t have guns and other advancements like Genoa, they only had bow and arrows along with other tools. So Genoa won over the land with the help of some conquistadors.

Reflection: What i think about this holiday and what was done to thousands of people is that is might have been unfair but where would we be today if that moment in history never happened. The United States probably would have never existed. So what was done is now done and it can never be changed.

What this quote means to me is that if we make obedience our top priority then we will go further in life instead of going downward. We have to be more obedient if we want to go far in life. we have to listen to what our parents and teachers tell us what to do because it can really help us in our future. obedience can also get you further in your career, even possibly get a promotion. Life is full of surprises and the only thing that can most likely get you through them is obedience. It is one of the most useful things you can ever do. Id you are not obedient then you can be going downward in life, for example, if you obey the laws then you are not treated with the consequences but if you do break a law then you will have to go to jail or prison depending on how serious the law you broke was. Having obedience in your lifestyle choice it can really take you places.

Veterinarian

Duties and responsibility:

Veterinarians are responsible for caring, treating, and giving surgery to animals. The typical animals they work with are mostly domestic pets such as cats, and dogs. They also work with horses.

Education:

To become a veterinarian you have to complete a 4 year doctor of medicine program, including undergraduate school. Veterinarians when taking their bachelor's degrees in science-related areas, like zoology, molecular biology, chemistry, animal science and biochemistry. When getting a license all states require you to pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE), before receiving the license.

Salary:

Veterinarians get about an average of 99,000 dollars or more per year.

Demand for this career:

Veterinarians are expected to increase by 9 percentage between 2014 and 2024.

Reflection:

I think that i would like to work in this type of medical career in my future. I love animals and like helping them so this job would suit me well, so i have decided that i will look further into this career. It can become one of my future career choices. The job allows me to do the things i love. This career and the wildlife rehab are my two favorite careers i would like to possible do.

What this statement means to me is that the only why to learn something is to actually put some effort in doing it or you will never really learn how to do it. we need to practice in order to be good at something, you just can't expect to be good at it right away, that would be impossible to do. some might say well i have natural talent, but natural talent can only take you so far, but if you practice you can get better and better, until you very good at it. For example I'm not very good at writing but when i do it I'm actually learn who to write because I'm practicing. Practice make perfect is what lots of people say and they're right.

Emergency Medical Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

As a Emergency Medical Technician you must provide initial assessment and treatment of patients in emergency situations, including automobile accidents and sudden physical illnesses.  You are also responsible for treating and transporting patients to a medical facility where they will get the help they need.  As an emergency medical technician you work in a team with other people in different jobs such as firefighters and police dispatched to help those who have gotten into an accident or incident.

Salary:

An average Emergency Medical Technician get paid about 31,980 dollars.

Education:

An emergency Medical Technician has to have training through certificate and associate degree programs at the basic, intermediate and paramedic levels. They must also pass the a national examination. To perform  the job you must have all certification in all states. As an EMT  good communication and knowledge of emergency medical tasks are essential.

Demand for this profession:

They percentage for this job is 24% and it is growing faster than the average.

Reflection:

I would want to be in this job because it is in the medical field and i get to help those who are in need. So i will be looking forward to learn about this job more. This is a job that also pays well but it's not just for the money. It is for helping all the people who need medical attention.
