What this statement means to me is that what makes a person who they are is all based on their manners. If you are a very rude and cruel person then people will start to think that they don't want to be around a person with those type of manners. On the other hand if you are kind, sweet, and generous then people who most likely want to hang around you more than they would want to hang out with people who are mean and cruel. If you were to sit at a dinner table and would just pass over someones food to get the salt then to just ask them to pass it would be unmannerly. They wouldn't want to eat with you anymore if they know that is the way you act at a dinner table. This is compared with a person who would simply ask them to pass the salt. Then the  people will know how mannerly you are and possibly ask you over for dinner again. It all depends on how you act around people, and what perspective other people have about you. Either if you are mannerly or unmannerly. That is how your manners make who you are.

       What this statement means to me is that being the better person is better than winning or losing. Doing the right thing will always make you feel good, even is you do win or lose. If you do the wrong thing and win than you will feel guilty that you won unfairly. For and example, if you cheat on an english test and get a good score than you will most likely feel guilty for not earning the score you got. You will only make yourself feel worse. So if you do something right and lose then you will still feel goos about yourself for doing the right thing. For example if you are in a contest and your friend whats to win more than you do and you lose on purpoe so they can win. You will feel good even though you didnt win the contest. You will always win if you do the right thing and you will always lose if you cheat and do the wrong thing. It all depends on you.

Veterans Day

Veterans day is a holiday held on the anniversary of the end of the world war, November 11. The purpose of veterans day is to honor U.S Veterans and victims of the war. It is Important to show honor on Veterans day because it is a way of acknowledging the sacrifices they have made for our country.  Some things you can do to honor veterans on veterans day is to hang the flag on your front yard, visit the gravesite of a veteran, ask a veterans about their time in the military, and attend a veterans day event.

I greatly respect the Veterans who have fought for our freedom and our country because they have made several sacrifices that others wouldn’t and i am thankful for everything they have done for us. Some sacrifices they make are their own life, leaving their family for a certain amount of time, and the comfort and security of their own home.

Reflection:

I believe that Veterans do deserve to have their own holiday because of everything they have sacrificed for us and their country. It is very brave for them to do because not everyone would leave their home and family to become a soldier and serve our country. Those who do become Veterans i would like to thank you. You have been through so much without the help of your family, so it must be extremely hard. You are the type of person who fights for what is right and will never give up. I'm not even sure if a holiday is enough to thank you for what you have done for our country. We owe our lives to you, you fought for our lives and without you we would probably be dead. What this quote means to me is that it depend on who you hang out with that may effect you behaviors. If you hang out with people who are kind, generous, and  hard working then you will also become those things, but if you associate with rude, disrespectful, and ruthless people then you will most likely turn out that way as well. For example, lets say i associate with a teenage boy that smokes and does drugs, then he will most likely pressure me to do them as well and over time he might get caught doing drugs. Then he and i will be arrested because i knew that he did drugs even though i didn't. That is an example that demonstrates what happens if you hang out with the wrong people. While if you hang out with a person who does there work and is kind to others then you will want to do the same thing, and that will result in you completing school work and being friendly to others. I for one only like to hang out with kind and hard working people and that is what i have become throughout the past years. Choosing who you associate with is an essential part of life that you need to know if you want to get ahead to become who you want to be and do what you want to do.

What this quote means to me is that the best way to relax yourself is to do something good. This is the best way to make yourself feel good, it can put you is a great state of happiness. This can be true and false at the same time. For example, if you help someone with their health problems or personal problems then you will feel good about it. It will help you feel good about yourself in a way, helping others is to also help yourself in a way. This statement would be false if the person that wants to help is tired but he or she is forced into helping others or do good then that would be a bad thing because while helping that person the  helper is exhausted. Therefore not recreating him or herself in a good way.
