St. Patrick's Day

2. The purpose of St. Patrick's Day is to celebrate the cultural and religious death of St. Patrick, the Patron of Ireland. Its is celebrated as a memory of his death. 

3. St. Patrick's day is designated on March 17 because that is when St. Patrick died. 

4. Green is the certain color that is used to celebrate St. Patrick's Day because it is said the St. Patrick would wear green and would use the 3 leaved plant as a way to explain the Holy Trinity. Ever since then Ireland has been associated with the color green to represent their country.
