What this statement means to me is that it is better to hang out by yourself than to hang out with the wrong company. Although if you hang out with the good people then it is fine to be with them because they don't pressure you to start bad habits.For exaple if you hang out with someone who smokes ot drinks beer then you are most likely to do that because they might pressure you into doing it. Then later on it can affect your future. If you hang around good people who are always focused and try to get their work done on time then you will become the same way. The way they act around you is the way you will start acting. That is why it is very important to choose your friends carefully because in the future they will rub their actions onto you and you will start to do the same. Qoutes like these help you realize who and who shouldn't become your friend, but that all depends on who you want to become.
