The sting of the Scorpion

In this story it tells of a boy who is taking a vacation in the dessert with his family. Him parents had told him to always put on your shoes, so that they can protect you from the snakes, scorpions, and thorns that lay in the dessert sand. One morning Patrick wanted to go exploring but he was to lazy to put on his shoes so he had decided to were flip flops. While walking on the cold dessert sand he felt as if he had been struck by a thorn but when he looked down he realized that is was a scorpion that stung him. he grabbed his leg in pain as he yelled for help. Once his parents came they rushed him to the closest hospital which was 2 hours away. When he got there the doctor told hi that he was going to be okay. The specific scorpion he was stung by only affects infants. That is an important lesson that he had learned that day. to not be lazy and always do what you you know is the right thing to do.
