Medical Assistant
Duties and responsibilities:
Medical assistant working mostly in physician's offices and healthcare clinics, medical assistants perform a variety of routine tasks, supporting doctors and nurses in keeping the practice's operations running efficiently and on schedule. They also file medical records and documents, setting up appointments and arranging hospital procedures. Some medical assistants even specialize in a particular type of medicine, such as ophthalmology or podiatry.

Salary: The median salary for someone who is a medical assistant gets about 30,590 dollars.

Education:
To become a medical assistant you will have to graduate from a 2-year associate degree program in medical assistance. Then you will have to take the AAMA certification exam. The certification must be renewed every 5 years. students wishing to enter the workforce more quickly may pursue a 1-year medical assistance program through a vocational school to receive a diploma or certificate. At that point they will be able to qualify for most entry level medical assistant jobs.

Demand for this profession: The projected job growth for Medical assistants is 23% between 2014-2024.

Reflection:

In my opinion i don't want to become a medical assistant because i'm not really the type of person who wants to stay in an office all day doing paperwork and filing documents. This is a medical career but it is something that i'm not really interested in at the time.
