The Twin Towers Attack

         Many of you guys know of the Twin Towers as just a building but the Twin Towers was not just a building but a symbol to New York. When the future of New York seemed uncertain the Twin Towers restored confidence and helped bring a halt to the decline of lower Manhattan. In September 11, 2001, 4 airline planes in mid flight were hijacked by terrorist. The terrorist flew two of the planes directly in to the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York. One of the other planes crashed into the Pentagon (the U.S. military headquarters) and the fourth was crashed in Pennsylvania. The fourth plane was not intended to crash there but the passenger fought off the hijackers and the plane flipped and crashed, all the passenger were killed in the crash. Officials say that the intended target location to crash the fourth plane was probably the white house but no one knows for sure. Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks. In my opinion this event in history was very tragic because thousands of people died and all at the hands of 19 terrorist. It is very unfair to those who lost their family members either in the plane crash or in the Twin Towers that burned and collapsed.
